Aiming at two-state glory

Exciting Red Ransom filly, Love For Ransom, is being aimed at two-state success in the autumn according to her trainer Greg Eurell.

Love For Ransom burst onto the three-year-old fillies stage when she put up an unbelievable performance to win a 1200-metre race at Moonee Valley on September 15.

She was immediately installed favourite for the Group 1 Thousand Guineas, but had little luck at her next few outing at Caulfield before running seventh in the Guineas when an $11 chance.

This morning Greg Eurell told racingnetwork Love For Ransom had been back in work for a week and he was planning a big two-state autumn campaign for the filly.

“All’s good with her. She looks terrific and we’re starting to get into her now,” he said.

“Ideally we can pick up something decent with her in Melbourne before we go to Sydney.

"Races like the Surround Stakes seem ideal for her, and we’ll definitely be throwing in a nomination for the Doncaster as well,” Eurell said.

“She gives us the impression she could be a very good filly so we’ll give her every chance to prove it.”
