FORTUNEFIVEHUNDRED may return to Anthony Cummings’ Randwick stables after he demolished his rivals in today’s Craig’s Royal Hotel Plate at Caulfield.

Assistant trainer Dan Williams said there was “an inkling” that Fourtunefivehundred, unbeaten in his two Victorian runs, may be heading
back to Sydney.

“The boss will decide,” Williams said.

Fortuntefivehundred, the easing $3 favourite, raced away to win unextended by four and three-quarter lengths from Campeao, $10, with a head
to Te Karaka, backed from $9 to $6.50, third.

Glen Boss said the progressive four-year-old had improved in appearance and performance from his win at Moonee Valley on November 30.

Boss noted that while Fortunefivehundred was still immature he gave every indication there was better wins ahead.

“He can sustain a really long run,” Boss said.
