MARK Riley believes I’m Too Sexy can catapult herself into Magic Millions contention in Saturday’s BJ McLachlan Stakes at Doomben.
Riley said I’m Too Sexy hasn’t been given the credit for her win in the Magic Millions Clockwise Classic at Ballarat on November 25.
He noted the formline from the Ballarat race had been good with third-placed Gracious Prospect running second behind Champagne Cath at Rosehill and fourth-placed Change Of Honour winning at Caulfield.
“Until you walked the track at Ballarat, you didn’t realise how good a win it was,” Riley said.
“She has trained on well. I think it is a race that she can win.
“It’s mainly Brisbane form except for a couple of Gai’s, but really it is hard to line up. Saturday will be a good test for her in regard to the Magic Millions.
Sportsbet.com.au rates I’m Too Sexy a $5.50 equal second favourite behind Sir Luminar, the current $3.20 favourite.
I’m Too Sexy has drawn barrier one, which Riley admits bowls up some concern.
“She can be a little bit tardy away, but to get past her they have to get two lengths clear,” Riley said.
“It’s only that two strides (at the start) then ‘bang’, she goes. But, the beauty about her you can drive the ears off her and she just drops the bit.
“She is really good like that.”
