McLeod appeal on Wednesday

The Racing Appeals and Disciplinary Board will hear an appeal by jockey Rhys McLeod at 10.30am next Wednesday.

The Racing Appeals and Disciplinary Board will hear an appeal by jockey Rhys McLeod at 10.30am next Wednesday.

McLeod is appealing against the decision of the stewards and severity of the penalty, when he was found guilty of a charge of careless riding on his mount Donna Madeira in race two at Sportingbet Park on Wednesday.

Mr McLeod had his licence to ride in races suspended for a period to commence at midnight on Sunday, January 20 and to expire at midnight on Sunday, 27 – eight meetings.

A stay of proceedings was not requested.
