Brilliant sprinting mare Sea Siren is on target for her racetrack return in the Group 1 $350,000 The Galaxy (1100m) at Rosehill Gardens on March 30.
Trainer John O’Shea this morning said Sea Siren had trialled very well last week, and he would now keep her “ticking over” until she went for another trial on March 15.
“I really couldn’t be happier with her.
"She’s in very good shape and going well, and she looks fabulous,” O’Shea told racingnetwork today.
“She will only need one more trial and we’ll do that on the 15th (March) before she goes to The Galaxy first-up,” he said.
Sea Siren hasn’t raced since her dismal showing in the $US1.8 million Hong Kong International Sprint (1200m) in December.
O’Shea is planning a return trip to Brisbane for Sea Siren for the Group 1 BTC Cup and the Group 1 Doomben 10,000 – races Sea Siren won last year.
