ANTHONY Cummings has nominated yesterday's Listed Australia Day Cup winner Shadows In The Sun for next month's Hobert Cup.

ANTHONY Cummings has nominated yesterday’s Listed Australia Day Cup winner Shadows In The Sun for next month’s Hobert Cup.

 

Cummings has also entered Fortunefivehundred, which is nominated for Saturday’s Mornington Cup Prelude.

 

Shadow In The Sun, a dominant all-the-way winner in the Australia Day Cupat Warwick Farm, headlines a strong interstate entry for the Group 3 $225,000 Hobart Cup (2400 m) on February 10.

 

Chris Waller has entered Marden while Gerald Ryan has Ironstein among the nominations, which officially close tomorrow.

 

Former French horse Brehat, which found the track too firm at Flemington last start, is a nomination as are the Mick Kent trained You Think So and Backbone.

 

South Australian trainer Tony McEvoy has Pelicano in the Cup while David Hayes has nominated last start Moonee Valley winner Readings and Rock Robster.
