Following a Group 1 win in the NZ Thoroughbred Breeders Stakes last weekend, outstanding Kiwi mare Viadana is heading to Sydney for the Queen Of The Turf Stakes.
Trainer Lance Noble told breednet.com.au the six-year-old would now be on a plane for the $1 million Queen Of The Turf on April 19, at Royal Randwick – the second week of The Championships.
“She is a great mare and is racing at the top of her game so this is a good opportunity to take her over and see how she goes,” Noble started.
“There are some very good fillies and mares in Australia but the likes of Silent Achiever have shown that the higher rated horses in New Zealand are capable of competing against them,” he added.
“She can't really do anything more here in New Zealand so it is time go over.”
Viadana has won two Group 1 races this preparation, as well as a Group 2 race, from eight starts this campaign.
