Williams to ride Waterhouse Diamond aspirant

GAI Waterhouse has booked Craig Williams to ride Swing Vote in Saturday’s Blue Diamond Preview (1000 m) at Caulfield.

Williams resumes this weekend after an extended break, broken only by riding at the Magic Millions day, since he returned from a six-week contract in Japan.

Swing Vote debuted at Warwick Farm on January 5 where she defeated previous Warwick Farm winner Twilight Royale by one and a quarter lengths.

Unbeaten Adelaide filly Miracles Of Life is a definite runner in the Diamond Preview, but trainer Daniel Clarken will leave until Tuesday a decision about who ride the Diamond favourite on Saturday.

Apprentice Lauren Stojakovic has ridden Miracles Of Life in both her spectacular wins.

Clarken has been swamped with offers from a myriad of Victorian jockeys to ride Miracles of Life, which has been nominated for the Diamond. Owners can make a $55,000 late payment five days before the race.

Peter Moody will enter Diamond Glow, an impressive winner at Caulfield on debut, as well as Mystical Miss, a daughter of More Than Ready and Oaks and Thousand Guineas winner Magical Miss, for Saturday’s Preview.

“I’ve got a couple of colts and fillies that I’ll nom. I’ll make up my mind after track work Tuesday,” Moody said.
