WHO said he wasn’t right?

Ambitious Dragon cast aside all the concerns about his fitness to win the Hong Kong Mile in breath-taking fashion.

Several veterinary inspections were required before Ambitious Dragon was cleared to take his place, but he showed his class as he
came from near the rear of the field to give Zac Purton one of his biggest ever wins.

While speculation swirled about his condition, Ambitious Dragon could not have been any more emphatic.

Purton, whose win on Ambitious Dragon was his third on the Hong Kong International Day program, said he was always confident.

“He travelled like a winner the whole way,” Purton told the Hong Kong trackside presenter.

Ambitious Dragon swooped on the John Size trained Glorious Days to win by three-quarters of a length with one and a half lengths to
Packing Ok third.
